Enjoying Some Quiet.

Mixed Media 2001©

*Taking care of yourself is not selfishness.* Dr Linda Clevers.
Recently I have been shutting off my computer. Taking time of myself. For may reasons , I have realized if I do not do this, then life gets to fast for me.
There are so many things in life we think we need to do. The fact is some of them are not even important in the whole scheme of things.
I have not been painting or doing much art. More Photography then anything. This month I am turning over a new leaf. I am drawing daily and painting again daily. I really need to say on a road with purpose and passion. It keeps me centered. Not stuck in things that are only good to rob the energy I have..Some days its lacking. So painting is perfect and really is healing.
So many times I am thinking of others not a bad thing. I just think we as women forget that we need to really center ourselves and our home. Giving us time to do
the things we love. At least one thing..when we do. We are so much better for it.

Wishing you blessings.

I find my computer friends ARE my quiet time.

Wherever you find peace, my friend, take it.

SO true. Finding your own special peace - and giving yourself time to embrace it - makes you a stronger person, inside and out.

Kerry, you are speaking exactly what is on my mind and in my heart today. I was going to be doing a post like this because I'm feeling stretched in ways I feel aren't beneficial to me. And you are so right -- we women often don't take the time we need for ourselves. Happy painting!!! :)
